MILL SLOT PIPE
The following links contain machinists drawings and specifications for each individual slot size. Each blueprint is accompanied with a table that gives total number of slots per foot, % of open area per foot and total open area per foot.
The TABLE OF INLET AREAS displays the square inches of inlet area per foot of any given size of perforated pipe. These values can also be hand calculated using the following equations. TO CALCULATE % OF OPEN AREA PER FOOT OF PERFORATED PIPE:

Mill slot openings are cut in the pipe with saws, as
can be seen
in the diagram at the below. Pipe size , slot width, slot spacing and number of slots
per foot can be tailored to meet the conditions of each well. Lyman Pipe
can have just about any size pipe slotted with whatever slot size you would
like.
